Air rates are based on the actual weight of the package.

A one-pound package is $2.75
The second pound and beyond are priced at $2.75 each.

Examples:
A 3-pound package is $8.25.
An 8-pound package will be $22

All packages will have a small truck transportation fee to get them to Paso Canoas. We try to keep this to a minimum- this fee depends on the size and weight of each package.
 

Ocean shipments are charged in cubic feet. The cost is $12.00 per cubic foot.

If the label only says TEX Last Name or just has your name, they will be automatically shipped by Air, no matter how large or heavy they are. We cannot change the speed of your shipment once it arrives at the Doral warehouse. The label dictates if it ships by Air or Ocean. 
 

To calculate the size of your marine shipment, measure the longest length of each side (Length, Width, Height) in inches. Then, multiply these dimensions together and divide by 1,728 to get the cubic feet.

If your order is split into multiple boxes, each box will have its own unique tracking number. You’ll need to enter each tracking number into the system separately to ensure all parts of your order are properly tracked. This can happen when items are too large to fit in one box or if your order is coming from different warehouses, which is common with Amazon orders.

FYI, when packages arrive in Doral, Florida they get sorted out by the labels on each parcel.  

Air packages need to read "TEX & Your Last Name." Air packages usually leave the same day, so proper labeling is imperative. 

Marine packages need to read "TEX OCEAN & Your Last Name."

If you know that your vendor has mislabeled your package and it's missing TEX, please let us know as soon as you know it has been delivered. We will have to request to search for it. 

We cannot change a package from an air label to a marine label. Please double-check that your vendor follows the address label correctly to avoid any expensive mistakes. 

To ensure efficient processing and avoid storage issues, we kindly ask that large shipments be coordinated in advance.
We’ll be reaching out prior to your shipment’s arrival at Paso Canoas to confirm that you or a designated representative will be available for prompt pickup.

Our facility is designed for fast turnaround, and large items (over 4 cubic feet) occupy valuable space. Unfortunately, we’re not equipped to store them for extended periods. Timely retrieval allows us to continue providing efficient service to all of our clients.

Yes, you can have someone else pick up your packages on your behalf. However, we’ll need to know who is authorized to pick them up. Please make sure to include their full name when creating your order.

Additionally, the person picking up the package will need to bring a valid ID for verification.

Yes, you can ship batteries, but they are classified as dangerous goods, which means they must follow specific safety regulations during transport — whether by air or marine.

Lithium-ion batteries, in particular, require special handling. They fall under the same category as other hazardous materials like:

• Paints and paint products
• Fire extinguishers
• Glues and adhesives
• Flammable items
• Pressurized containers

Dangerous Goods Air shipments typically arrive within the standard Air package timeframe — possibly with slight delays due to added safety checks.

Dangerous Goods Ocean shipments do take longer than regular Ocean shipments. Dangerous goods are loaded into special containers that only ship once they are full, which means transit times can be up to 2 months or more, depending on the volume and scheduling at the time of your shipment.

If this is your first Toucan Express order this is what to expect: once your package arrives in Paso Canoas you will see the updated order in your account. The status will be marked as Ready for Pick Up and the total due will be displayed. At that point you can come and pick it up in Paso Canoas.
